Warm-up: (3 minutes)
- Lets students listen to a piece of music “Vì một thế giới ngày mai”
- Asks some questions:
1. Which sport event is it?
2. When and where did the 22nd Sea Games take place?
- Leads in the new lesson: We will learn a new lesson: The 22nd Sea Games

Pre-reading: (7 minutes)
- Divides students into 2 groups
- Asks students to close the textbook
- Asks students to discuss the sports held in the 22nd Sea Games
- Calls students of the 2 groups in turn onto the board to write down names of some sports as quick as possible
- Calls 2 students to check students` work on board
- Presents pictures and names of sports for students to check
- The group who writes the most is the winner.

- Asks students to do the task invidually then compare answers with partner

- Asks students to scan the passage and find information to complete the sentences
- Asks students to work in pairs
- Goes round to give help

Task 3: Answer the questions ( 10minutes)
Play a game: Who is he?
- Elicits the rules of the game: There are 6 hidden pieces to form the picture. Each piece stands for a question. A correct answer will open a piece and the answerer receive a gift. If a student cannot answer a question, others have the turn to answer. There are some lucky pieces. If a student choose one of the pieces, it will automatically open; he will not have to answer the question and receive a gift
- Asks students to read the passage again and find the answers to all questions
- Goes round to provide help
- Calls students in turn to choose each piece to see the questions and present their answers in front of the class
- Listens to the students and corrects mistakes
- Checks with the keys on slide

















After you read : (7 minutes). Work with a partner and name some of the Vietnamese athletes you love. Say what they are famous for, and what aspects of sportsmanship you admire ( fairness, respect, generosity...
- Elicits the instruction.
- Presents example: I love VQ. He is the most excellent football player in the match Vietnam and Malaysia.
- Gives the pictures of some famous athletes in the 22nd Sea Games : Nguyen Hong Nhung ( Pencak silat), Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen ( Cycling), Nguyen
